9. Common Issues/FAQ

• If you see the following when running ELM/OLMT, you need to clone the Field-to-Model repository with the --recurse-submodules flag:

  **** Running OLMT:
  /opt/conda/bin/python: can't open file '/home/modex_user/tools/olmt/./site_fullrun.py': [Errno 2] No such file or directory
  

• A similar looking error can occur if you try to run ELM/OLMT from the wrong directory. Make sure you are in the Field-to-Model directory, if you are not, you will see an error that looks like this:

  models-main-latest: Pulling from yuanfornl/ngee-arctic-modex26
  Digest: sha256:3a96539f34d532d5a85b6ab496e1b57c34e51a553318b19ea181d9ba0fd5effc
  Status: Image is up to date for yuanfornl/ngee-arctic-modex26:models-main-latest
  docker: Error response from daemon: failed to create task for container: failed to create shim task: OCI runtime create failed: runc create failed: unable to start container process: error during container init: exec: "/home/modex_user/model_examples/ELM/run_ngeearctic_site.sh": stat /home/modex_user/model_examples/ELM/run_ngeearctic_site.sh: no such file or directory
  

• If you try to run two instances of the Docker visualization container at the same time, with the same port mappings you may see an error like this:

  docker: Error response from daemon: failed to set up container networking:
  driver failed programming external connectivity on endpoint friendly_shirley
  (a9108d46d0ece39a56496506b75135a04c4669eb8c1f1018d832c71e64eb4941): Bind for
  0.0.0.0:8888 failed: port is already allocated
  

• If Docker Desktop is not running, you may see an error like this:

  Cannot connect to the Docker daemon at unix:///Users/rfiorella/.docker/run/docker.sock. Is the docker daemon running?
  

  Start docker desktop and try again.
